The basics, with the usual precedence and parentheses. Type * or x for multiply — both show as ×.

Assign with =, then reuse the name anywhere below. sum, average and prev refer to earlier results.

Plain-language percentages, including discounts and ratios.
📏Units
Convert with in or to. Covers length, mass, time, volume, data, temperature, area and speed. A bare unit means “1” of it (day to hours → 24 h).
💱Currency
Live exchange rates (refreshed and cached for offline), plus common crypto. Use symbols or ISO codes.
📅Dates & durations
Natural dates and intervals. Subtract two dates for the gap, or add a duration to a date.
🌍Time zones
Convert a clock time between cities.
🧮Functions
Math and finance helpers. Arguments are comma-separated.
📝Notes & hints
Lines starting with # or // are comments. Any line Jotsum can't compute is left blank — and if it looks like math but uses a name you haven't defined, you'll see a muted hint like iva?.
